One of the most powerful videos you'll ever watch…
Pastor John Garza describes over FaceTime, being trapped on the 12th floor of a towering inferno with his two children at their home in Bogota, Colombia. The peace in his voice as he recites words of his simple Prayer, "Lord if this is it, if this is how it ends, then I accept it", while at the same time searching a way out. He never quit, saying "the best thing I could do for my kids is to stay alive". At the end of the video, he describes a recurring dream he had several weeks before where the Lord prepared him to not give up. This is a story of a young man who has learned, even matured to the point of no matter the Storm or possible outcome, the best place to be is in the center of God's hand. Giving in to God’s will means never giving up. I love this young man, his wonderful wife Yahara and his family, John-Debra Garza and I'm so proud of how he's grown in the Lord. Watch the whole 17 minutes if you can. I know it's a little long, but the end is worth it. May the Lord keep us all in perfect peace to keep going, even through the most horrible and even deadly times of our life. Blessings.

Eight years later, there is no greater birthday gift than my little man, my forever hero! Hero, because his existence turns me into the brave man I am slowly becoming. Brave, to change and make the best of every God-given day by paving the way so my family may walk along the blood-stained path of prayer, failure, and courage to rise again. Thank you, Lord, for another year of life for the two of us! Let us forever be entwined, thinking of each other this special day even when separated. Wherever the road may lead us on this journey, may we be forever unified.
